Shared Journeys
Our community trips bring people together for a shared wilderness experience. These shorter journeys, typically 3–8 days, take place within Australia, most often in Victoria.
Each trip is different. The skills you’ll learn, the landscapes you’ll move through, and the people you’ll meet will all shape the experience in their own way. What ties them together is the focus: connection, community, and experience. We spend time in beautiful surroundings, slow things down, reflect, share stories, have good conversations, and of course tire ourselves out.
You can expect a mix of formal and informal lessons. You might learn navigation, trip planning, backcountry cooking, gear use, weather patterns, knots, rope work, first aid, or leadership theory. What we cover depends on the group, the conditions, and the interests of participants. None of it is mandatory.
Some trips lean into learning and skill-building, while others are quieter journeys through the landscape. Either way, the emphasis is on shared experience, personal growth, and enjoying the outdoors together.
These trips are especially suited to people who want to learn how to plan and execute great wilderness adventures, improve their outdoor skills, meet others with shared interests, and challenge themselves in a supportive and down-to-earth environment.
