Nepal Travel Update
Following the severe flooding in parts of Nepal, including areas within the Langtang region, we are closely monitoring local conditions, official travel advice and the progress of recovery efforts. We are also staying in contact with our local partners, whose knowledge and guidance will be central to any decisions we make.
Our April 2027 expedition remains scheduled to go ahead. If the original Langtang itinerary cannot be operated safely and responsibly, we will adapt the journey or move it to another suitable region of Nepal. Any changes will be communicated clearly to participants as the situation develops.
Tourism provides vital income for guides, porters, drivers, accommodation providers and mountain communities throughout Nepal. Travel should never place additional pressure on communities during recovery, but when our local partners feel the time is right, continuing to visit thoughtfully can be a meaningful way to support livelihoods and contribute to that recovery.
Langtang Valley, Nepal
This is a thoughtfully paced Himalayan journey, designed for people who want to experience the mountains without taking on an especially demanding itinerary. You don’t need previous trekking experience or exceptional fitness, but you should be comfortable walking for several hours a day and keen to take on a challenge.
The itinerary allows plenty of time to move at a comfortable pace, settle into life on the trail and enjoy the places we travel through. If you’re generally active and prepared to do some training beforehand, this is a very achievable introduction to trekking in the Himalayas.
